ABOUT THE PRACTICE

Our Approach

Lumen Therapy helps couples, individuals and families improve their most important relationships, health and well-being. Our therapists each have a long standing commitment to excellence in private practice, research and other therapeutic settings.

We have created our practice around the belief that each person deserves a safe, caring place in which to heal and grow. We see our role as guides and facilitators who will help you embrace your emotional responses to life’s twists and turns as we empower you with tools and resources you can use throughout your life. While healing takes time, you will feel empowered and stronger with each step you take in your therapy journey.

For many people, COVID-19 has created additional pressure and stress in life. We are attuned to the shifts our clients have experienced and can help you develop healthier coping responses and strategies for moving forward.

At Lumen, you will find a culturally responsive, racially conscious, LGBQ+ and trans/non-binary affirming atmosphere. We meet you where you are, and we help you celebrate your unique gifts and strengths.

She grew up in California in a multicultural household, where she developed an early appreciation for relational systems, values, and the complexities of family dynamics. After completing her undergraduate education, Ashna moved to Denver, where she earned her Master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology. She approaches her clinical work from a systems-oriented, multicultural, and relational framework, with an emphasis on building trust, enhancing communication, and exploring attachment patterns within individuals and relationships. WHO WE ARE

Meghan Yingling

Meghan specializes in working with individuals and couples navigating relationship issues, conflict, self-worth, attachment trauma, and ADHD. Meghan particularly enjoys working with individual men to help them not only find their emotions, but to use them in meaningful ways in their lives. Meghan practices through an attachment-based, Emotionally Focused Therapy lens with a focus on helping clients understand their deeper needs and fears that drive patterns for connection.

In her work with couples, Meghan helps clients slow down and identify the negative cycles that keep them stuck — the moments when you reach for connection but end up feeling alone, misunderstood, or overwhelmed. She guides couples in creating new emotional experiences that increase closeness, responsiveness, and emotional security.

Meghan tailors her approach to fit your unique needs and goals and may incorporate other approaches including the Gottman method and solution-focused therapy. Together you’ll navigate histories, identities, and societal influences that impact your relationships. Above all, her work honors the human desire to feel seen, safe, and valued.

Meghan’s approach is warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental, with some added humor. She believes change is fostered through emotional understanding, connection, and awareness through personal insights. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, personal growth, rebuilding trust, healing from past wounds, or simply feeling stuck, Meghan offers a safe, compassionate space where you can heal and grow.

Jana Jiacoletti

Clinical Therapist
WHO WE ARE

Jana Jiacoletti

Jana is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist, specializing in individual and couples therapy. She is also an EMDRIA-trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed parts work to help clients better understand themselves, heal from painful experiences and create meaningful change.

Jana believes that lasting change doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from feeling safe enough to slow down, understand what’s beneath the surface and approach yourself with greater curiosity and compassion. Whether you’re navigating relationship struggles, anxiety, trauma or simply feeling stuck, she provides a supportive space where you can make sense of your experiences and begin moving toward the life and relationships you want.

In her work with individuals, Jana supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship challenges, attachment wounds, trauma and struggles with self-worth. She helps clients understand the patterns that have shaped how they relate to themselves and others, heal from past experiences and develop a deeper sense of self-understanding, acceptance and connection.

In her work with couples, Jana helps partners understand the painful cycles that leave them feeling disconnected, misunderstood or alone. Together, you’ll explore the emotions and needs beneath these patterns, rebuild trust, strengthen emotional connection and create a relationship where both partners feel seen, valued and secure.

Outside the therapy room, you can find Jana exploring the outdoors with her Golden Retriever, Finn, playing pickleball, or spending time with family and friends. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they heal, grow and create meaningful, lasting change.

WHO WE ARE

Natasha Amiri

About Natasha

Born and raised on the west coast, I grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of California, spending weekends hiking, camping, and boogie-boarding with my Afghan-French family. After college, I met my wonderful partner, a Colorado native, and we’ve shared 15 amazing years together. Now living in Colorado, we enjoy exploring the Rocky Mountains, hiking, mountain biking, and photographing wildflowers, often accompanied by our beloved hound, Oakley.

My relationship with my partner has shaped my approach to life and therapy. Together, we focus on maintaining respect, adoration, and authenticity—values I bring into my work with couples. I’m passionate about helping others cultivate positive, compassionate interactions in their relationships, fostering understanding and reducing conflict.

My fascination with healthy relationships began early, influenced by role models who embodied compassionate communication and authenticity. This passion led me to study positive psychology, attachment theory, and cultural systems in my academic studies. I’ve always been drawn to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of change.

Growing up in a multicultural household, I learned to value diverse perspectives and the uniqueness of each individual. As a Couple and Family Therapist, I use a systemic, attachment-based, and Emotionally-Focused approach to help clients build stronger emotional connections. I’m dedicated to guiding couples through the process of breaking negative patterns and fostering a deeper, more fulfilling partnership.

WHO WE ARE

Meridith uses Emotionally Focused Therapy with her clients to better understand how emotions are influencing the decision-making process in relationships and family systems. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, and business partners struggling with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and relationship challenges. You’ll find her approach is solution-oriented, which is why she likes to begin new client engagements by discussing and defining the outcomes to be worked toward in therapy.

She uses a multicultural lens in her practice to create space for cultural influences and perspectives that have shaped her clients’ lives, and she keeps these at the forefront of her work with clients. Meridith’s committed to continuing to address inherent biases she possesses to establish an environment that actively supports the identities that shape the individuals she works with.

Meridith received her master’s degree in couples and family therapy from the University of Colorado Denver and she is currently pursuing certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Meridith has an MBA, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Economics and a Minor in Neuroscience from Drake University.

On a personal note, she married her high school sweetheart, and they have an eight-year-old son. She and her family are in the process of becoming a foster care family, and they are looking forward to the good that will come from that experience.
